Co- Constructive Tools
In this session we learned ICT as a co-constructive tool. We looked at what the definition of co-constructive tool is, some of its examples, importance of using co-constructive tool and how do we integrate co-constructive tool in teaching and learning, and we concluded the session by creating our own concept mapping to visit Taktsang using Coggle.it
What is mean by co-constructive tool?
Co-constructive tools are applications that assist in the production of knowledge through a common understanding that consolidates concepts in a collaborative manner. In co-construction tool, students use technology tools or document to share ideas, work together🤝, co-edit and discuss ideas and thoughts through online real time discussion. It involves the two or more participants to construction the knowledge. It is also a re-construction of knowledge that includes the sharing of extra knowledge ideas 🧠 from other users.
Importance of integrating co-constructive tool in the classroom
- It is vital to integrate and teach our children👫 using co-constructive tool, because students may co-edit one other's work and communicate ☎️ 📟 to share ideas, which promotes collaborative learning.
- It encourage the learner to have a high-level cognitive process- explanation, problem finding and problem solving. Co-constructive tool helped in developing high level cognitive process where it requires explanation on the particular topics, problem and have to find solutions for the problems.
- As students edit, improve, and develop their work through collaborative, learning becomes more active and intentional.
How do we integrate co-constructive tool in teaching and learning
- Construction of the ICT lesson planning using Google Docs in teaching and learning.
- Quick decision making or skeleton overview of the lesson plan using Coggle.it
- Using free online collaborative tool-"Micro" to effective learning resources in teaching and learning.
- Using Goggle slides and Google sheet for collaborative learning process.
Examples of co-constructive tool
1. Google slides
Step 1: Create a presentation
To create a new presentation:
- Open the Slides home screen at slides.google.com.
- In the top left, under "Start a new presentation," click New
. This will create and open your new presentation.
- It can also create new presentations from the URL https://slides.google.com/create.
Step 2: Edit and format a presentation
You can add, edit, or format text, images, or videos in a presentation.
2. Google Docs
Google Docs is an online word processor that helps to create and format documents and work with other people.
3. Google sheets
Google sheets is a web-based application that enables users to create, update and modify spreadsheets and share the data online in real time.

Google sheets enables users to do the following:
- Edit and format spreadsheets: Spreadsheet items can be added, edited, formatted and applied to formulas and functions through Goggle sheets.
- Analyze: Google sheets can visualize spreadsheet data in charts, graphs and tables.
- Share: Users can share Google sheets documents and folders with others for real-time collaboration.
4. Miro
Micro is the online collaborative whiteboard platform that enables distributes teams to work effectively together.
5. Coggle.it
Coggle.it is a collaborative mind-mapping tool that helps to make sense of complex things.
Steps to create a coggle.it mind map
1. Type coogle.it in the google search engine
2. Sign in coogle.it with email
3. click on education box
4. Then click on the central item to type the title and also insert picture of the mind map, your changes are automatically saved.
5. Click the (+) buttons on the central items to add branches, then enter a text label for each branch. Add as many branches as you want.
7. To move items click and drag the text of any branch to move it.
8. After done with all, download it by clicking the download button.

Finally, I believed that co-constructive tool are really engaging and interesting in teaching and learning, where learners enhances construction of new ideas and knowledge through collaboratively work, and enhances their creativity skills. So, integration of co-constructive tools in teaching and learning is very important.
